The Dan Aid Body Piercing Teaching Resource compliments the secondary school curriculum across all key stages.
A full range of resources are included.
The lesson plans include:
– PowerPoint slides
– Video clips
Also included in the pack is the ‘Background Briefing Notes and ‘A Guide to Using the Dan Aid Teaching Resource Pack’ booklets, which are key components of this resource; containing detailed facts and relevant information relating to body piercing, which many teachers have found an excellent source of additional information to help them deliver the Dan Aid specific lesson plans or create their own.
The teaching resource is designed for the 4 lessons to be linked so that students get the maximum benefit from all the information presented over a period of sessions/year groups’ etc and will compliment your curriculum across all key stages.
There is also a short condensed version of lesson plans 1a and 1b [which is only available in the resource pack], for when dedicated time is short, teaching staff are unfamiliar with the subject or for teaching larger groups of children.
We are in essence, giving you the ‘tool box’ and with a little bit of thought and planning, you can deliver a successful lesson to your students across the curriculum, which makes this an ideal and valuable resource for your school.
“I really wanted to include a safety message in PHSE with respects to body piercing and was able to do so with the aid of the DAN AID pack produced by Christina Anderson. All my PHSE teachers who have delivered this resource feel that it is excellent and we will definitely be using it again next year.”
